Prevention

OHFAR’s preventive activities aim to promote oral health awareness through engaging educational programs for parents, children, teenagers, and schools, while encouraging good dental hygiene and regular checkups.

Primary Prevention

The Primary Prevention initiative aims to create engaging, informative content to promote oral health for children in Armenia. We will focus our efforts for parents, schools, and teenagers. Additionally, we aim to establish a National Oral Health Day, a nationwide event with activities and content aimed at engaging children and communities in oral health awareness.

Secondary Prevention

Our Secondary Prevention efforts focus on proactive screening to identify dental issues early. We aim to organize screening campaigns with cutting-edge technology, including telemedicine, digital health tools, and artificial intelligence (AI), to ensure efficient and effective screenings across the nation.

Care for Children

The primary objective of Adamnabus Mobile Dental Clinic is to bring essential pediatric dental care to Armenia’s communities, where access to professional dental services is limited or nonexistent.

These mobile clinics are designed to reach underserved communities, offering free dental checkups, treatment, and education to children in areas that otherwise lack adequate healthcare infrastructure.

By traveling directly to these villages, Adamnabus ensures that even the most isolated children receive the dental care they deserve, improving overall oral health and preventing future complications.

In addition to providing critical dental services, Adamnabus Mobile Dental Clinics also focus on raising awareness and educating parents and children about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.

The initiative will deliver educational content tailored to the specific needs of each community, helping families establish long-term healthy habits.

By addressing both immediate dental health needs and long-term prevention, Adamnabus plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap in pediatric dental care across Armenia’s remote regions.

Research

We will pursue research activities dedicated to oral health in Armenia to improve scientific knowledge and promote evidence-based policies.
The creation of a national database focused on child oral health and dental care in Armenia will serve as a cornerstone for advancing research and improving dental care practices across the country. This database will collect vital information on the oral health status of children, treatment patterns, and access to dental services, providing a comprehensive overview of the current situation.
Additionally, the national database will provide a platform for supporting research initiatives by offering grants to students and professionals interested in exploring pediatric dental care or oral health in Armenia.
These efforts will not only enrich scientific knowledge but also contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve child oral health nationwide.

Advocacy

We commit to engage in advocacy activities towards the public and private stakeholders of Armenia in order to shape agenda and reforms in oral health.

Our key priorities will be to develop a national strategy for children’s oral health in Armenia, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of young patients across the country.

We will conduct a national audit of regulations related to pediatric dental care to identify areas for improvement, as well as produce an annual report on the state of pediatric oral health in Armenia, tracking progress and outcomes.

In addition, we will organize an annual workshop with the Ministry of Health to review the progress of the strategy, assess successes and challenges, and discuss necessary updates to further strengthen the country’s pediatric dental care initiatives.
