As part of the global FDI World Oral Health Day, Armenia marked its first-ever nationwide participation through the #Jpitor campaign created by OHFAR, aiming to strengthen public awareness around oral hygiene, prevention, and lifelong oral health habits.
What is World Oral Health Day?
World Oral Health Day is a global initiative led by the FDI World Dental Federation to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene, prevention, and lifelong oral health habits. Every year, countries around the world organize educational and public awareness activities to promote healthier smiles and better overall health.
Launching Armenia’s First Public Awareness Campaign for World Oral Health Day
Until now, Armenia had never officially celebrated World Oral Health Day through a nationwide public awareness initiative. Recognizing the importance of prevention and education, OHFAR decided to launch the country’s first awareness campaign under the hashtag #Jpitor.
The objective was simple but essential: to begin changing the culture around oral health by promoting daily hygiene habits, prevention, and early education, especially among children.
A Special Flashmob Event at Akner School
As part of the campaign, OHFAR organized a special flashmob event at Akner School in Syunik, where the Adamnabus initiative is currently implemented.
Teachers, students, and our team came together for an engaging and educational activity focused on proper brushing techniques, oral hygiene awareness, and healthy habits. The event delivered a strong message that oral health starts with education, prevention, and everyday actions. 🦷🧡

Our Vision for 2027
This campaign represents only the first step.
In 2027, our ambition is to transform World Oral Health Day into a true national movement in Armenia through a large-scale government-wide awareness campaign involving public institutions, schools, healthcare professionals, private sector partners, and local communities across the country.
Our goal is to build a stronger culture of prevention and ensure that oral health becomes a national public health priority for future generations.
